Information Collected

General

SailSim collects limited personal data required for online features, including user identifiers, usernames, avatar information, age group classification, and gameplay statistics. The simulator may collect anonymous information about its installations, settings as they are adjusted by the users and performance of players in the game in order to calculate statistics, show them within SailSim and improve overall user experience. Anonymous analytics data may also be collected to evaluate overall usage patterns and improve the game experience.

For iOS and Android Smarphones, any additional information that is collected is for the Advertisements which are shown in the Locked version of SailSim which can be found in the Google App Store as well as iOS App Store and is described in detail there.

SailSim does not sell or share personal user data with third parties, except where required for core services such as analytics, cloud services, and platform-provided online features.

Meta Quest VR

SailSim collects the Meta User_ID, User Avatar URL, User Name as well as Age Group information. User_ID is used to access data like the User Nickname which is shown in the Leader Boards as well as throughout the CrossPlay statistic lists (You can choose to use a custom NickName if you wish during login). Avatar URL is used to show the users Meta Avatar within the Leader Board lists and Cross Play stat lists as well as in sections such as MultiPlayer Lobby and race final stats. 

Age Group data is used solely to adjust gameplay difficulty and to ensure fair matchmaking in multiplayer racing. SailSim does not store exact birth dates, only the age group classification provided by the Meta platform.

Achievements do not integrate anywhere outside the already available Achievements system within Meta as well as internal Achievement system SailSim has. Essentially even if you are Off - Line, SailSim stores your achievements like any other progression within a game and only updates your achievements once you are connected. The achievements are only updated to the Meta Achievement system.

User Data Removal

SailSim collects user data required for core online features such as Leader Board, achievements, and multiplayer. Additional data related to Cross-Play functionality is only collected when Cross-Play features are enabled by the user. Information such as Username, In-Game statistics and Avatar are stored for the CrossPlay feature to function. Additionally the shown Leader-Board data is also stored.

If for any reason a user wishes to delete some or all of the information used by SailSim, please don't hesitate to send an E-mail directly to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the request, optionally adding your currently used User Name (If any) and or any sort of other identifying information so it can be found and deleted. Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days. At this time, account and data deletion is handled via direct request.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time as the SailSim simulator is developed and new features are added. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the SailSim simulator after the date of such revised Privacy Policy is posted.
